helo there!
sorry, small, newbie question here for you all. :( 8)
had to replace my headlight unit today. found this little gadget behind it. its at the bottom, where the unit clips into. its got a spring and some wires going into it. im guesing its either alarm or airbag senor? am i completly wrong? the plastic casings on both sides are open, and i cant get them to clip together. one of the connecting parts broke on the passenger side too!
what are those parts? how important are they and did i just jaffa it?
cheers

The air bag sensors are organge/red with wiring covered in a yellow sheath. I wonder if what you have found is the adjuster thing for headlamp load levelling. Did it look like the item on the left in this pic?

Depends on the year. If it's a remote sensed system (94 and 95) then there will be an orange box on the inner wing behind the headlight, the wiring is covered in yeloow sheath that you can follow down from the bulkhead.
Later cars had a centrally sensed system that's self-contained below the centre console.
