hi does anyone know if putting bronco grizley tyres has an effect on your wheel bearings as i seem to be collapsing them for fun
any help would be appreciated cheers chimo :( :(

Give us all some idea of the tyre sizes and symptoms... we might be able to help... otherwise it's guesswork!
There are mixed opinions about Grizzly Claws but it's more about the tyre than it's affect on the vehicle.
Give us some more info and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Hi
As Skibum said, need more info.
Is it just one bearing or all :?:
I ran GC : 33 x 15 for 10,000 miles (yes, I know that seems a long time to put up with them/or to last) and never had any bearing trouble at all....., done 3 diffs and one gearbox thou.........
Say, without more info, can't give any further advice.

Looking at your Avatar if you drive your landy through water like that then your wheel bearings will be shot to pieces!
The front bearings will leak through the drive member or possibly through the back seal.
The tyres will not make a huge differene but water sections will.
If you do that often you should be repacking your bearings often (which after the first time will only take a hour or two).
-
And when you replace the bearings do you do them properly with a dial test indicator (dti). There should be movement within the hub but only a miniscule amount that you will not feel by hand.

Yep, i'll agree with that, if you regularly wade to those depths then you should be checking your bearings pretty often..
If you get to them before they're knackered you can clean them, re-pack with grease and replace the seal, you'll do them all in a day, and the seals are not expensive.
Use good grease, I use JCB blue lithium grease, its waterproof and really sticky, its improved the life of my wheel bearings quite a bit...
