Hi all. Just visiting from the Suzuki Forum ERM.....
On my way home tonight i stopped to help a fellow 4x4 er at the side of the road.
His front propshaft had sheered off after a bit of swearing I managed to get the 4 nuts and bolts off and then followed him home.
My question is..
Is it safe for him to drive around only powering the back wheels and where can he get a new front prop from..
Range Rover 2.5 td 'n' reg
Thanks in advance..

Yes it's perfectly safe, especially on a Diesel. It can beinteresting on my LSE 'cos it's too bloody powerful to be FWD and tail happy as a RWD
But driven with care nothing will break and the car will drive safely, if a little differently.
Some folks recon the steering is heavy as a RWD, things like that.
Propshafts, well try any of the specialist breakers, Paddock motors in Matlock, my back garden, the wanted section on here.

Thanks for that i will show him the ways of the mud club tomorrow.
Again many thanks
Paul

perfectly safe if he drives sensiably, you might be able to find a new prop of that bidding site (ebay) or somthing like that
