Exactly half way.... never higher once warmed up.

Towing, doing 90mph on private roads, driving to work etc etc - always the same.

Where-as my parents Disco... stays at a quarter all the time except when towing heavy loads and then occasionally gets to half way.

Could always put a laser temp reader onto the top hose to get a temp measurement, or put a thermocouple in?? And do the same on yours to compare the two.

I have a proper temperature gauge fitted. 86 Degrees rising to 90degrees when climbing long hills.

Remember though. My gauge will shew a needle movement at those temperatures having a 270 degree dial. Yours won't even see a needle movement.
