As I was driving out the hosptial some one opened their door on my car... hell of a bang! But i now guess I have lost my buyer.
The up side it was a nice lady and the insurance company is dealing with this very quickly!
I have now 3 cars one a good off roader! thats not a bad thing.

Nice maybe, but stupid.

You could try to explain to the buyer what has happened and if he's willing to wait for the repair to be done before purchasing
Bad news though when that happens

Yea... I know, it was actually her child who did it. She was lucky she didn't get out of the car or it could have been nasy. Phew...
hey ho, its just a car, just bad timing.

I don't want to be awful, but that's why we teach pupils to leave a car door's width to any parked car. I don't know why it is but most car owners stop thinking when they turn the engine off and start behaving like pedestrians, it's quite worrying especially when the process doesn't reverse as quickly when they get back to their cars

I had that, the kid was about 4 seconds earlier and was on a main road, reached the limit of its travel as I came past.
Opened a LOT further than it was supposed to before the rust on the hinged game out and the door came off. Horrified mother and child bawling her eyes out. Stopped and had a word, pointed out how the child locks on the back door work and she applogised perfusely.
I would have thought a buyer would wait if they really want it.
