can someone tell me what tyre pressures 235/85x16 macho tyres should be please?
-
You can check the tyres they should give you a max pressure info on them
-
? depends on what you want them to do, what weight they are carrying and what conditions you are using them in. Also on what vehicle? Basically its the volume of air that supports the vehicles weight, not the pressure. Therefore if the tyres are larger than standard you will be able to run lower pressures. Off road especially in mud or wet conditions lower pressures work better. General rule of thumb for off road work the tyre side wall hight where it is in contact with the road should be approx 75% of the height when not compressed by the vehicles weight.

its on 5 door disco 200tdi for running on the road- will let the tyres down when offroad

About 28 and 33 I'd say. I found my Machos quite stiff compared to BFG, then I found out a lot of remoulds are built on truck tyres, not 4x4 tyres.

I run mine at 33 all round

thanks for that, will check them when i go to tescos!

i ran my 225/75R16 machos about 25-28
-
I run my ones on the Disco at Front=28psi, rear=30psi on the road.

OOhhh, didn't you find the back end trying to pass you a lot :o
-
Not with the amount of tools, bits of metal etc i have in the back.
I think all the junk in the back adds up to 1/2 a ton !!!!

I'd have thought that would make things worse then. 33 in the back is fine but the front should be 26 on a Disco :o
