Title: Irony?
Post by: Eeyore on November 30, 2004, 16:14:50
Irony - is it like bronzey and goldy but made from something else?

Or is it like this?

The phrase 'duplicitous niblick' springs rapidly to mind!

Am I right in my understanding that certain areas are designated as 'right to roam' whereas others aren't? I am assuming that ramblers can't just hike through our fields unless they are designated part of the scheme. I believe that there are mechanisms to allow landowners to contest the 'right to roam'. Anyone know more?

Not sure about contesting, but yes, there are designated areas of land which are 'right to roam'

The *really* daft bit is that I can see one from my office window.  It's about 2 acres and is completely surrounded by land which is *not* designated as right to roam :-)

So, provided the walker is prepared to parachute in, and then get some sort of airlift out.... they will be sorted :-)

I'm learning to paramotor, so it should be ideal!  Do you have the coordinates? :)

Combining hobbies..... what more could Janet Street-Porter want? Or maybe she could try freefall........ without the 'shute'?
