Title: a few little electrical problems
Post by: suggs on April 29, 2007, 20:29:16
got no reversing lights, bulb's are ok. is there a connection on the gearbox etc that could have come off while off roading. are they on a differant fuse to the other lights..

and also driver side indicators have started flashing at about 3 times there normal speed, but all the bulbs are working, other side is fine..

cheers

If its anything like the 200 TDI theres a plunger assembly next to the bias plate. That has an electrical connection and the plunger is adjustable so it could be fuse, bulbs, plunger ass, or connection, or could be a wiring fault. Start with the simple things and work your way through the list.

In that case Suggs you just need to adjust the switch.

With the indicators it could be the flasher unit playing up, if you have any extra load on the circuit like extra indicators wired in

Other than that try changing the bulbs or checking the wiring for a short or drain on the system
