Title: Rovacom Lite... anyone got one?
Post by: vxuk on May 04, 2007, 09:07:01
I was wondering if anyone has one of these systems and lives in the Hertfordshire area. I'm a little bored of paying £20 to push 2 buttons to clear any faults. Plus is the system any good?

Have a look on the auctions thread; I put a link there to one.

Nothing to do with me, I just saw it for sale.

Rovacom is brilliant (though I got very p***ed off trying to set it up).

Mine is going to be up for sale very soon.  It's got all the P38A Range Rover modules, plus the classic EAS.  Since I sold the rangie it's of limited use - the plan is to buy a new one with the Disco modules instead. (Yes, I know I could add the Td5 modules, but hopefully it's going to work out cheaper this way).

Bung me a PM if you want to make a sensible offer to save me listing it on eBlag.

I'd have thought that now you have it it's way cheaper to add the TD5 modules though :?

Unless I'm missing something, I'd have thought the cost of the hardware is the biggest single thing.

The hardware is about £400.  The software for a modern vehicle typically is around £1,000 (much more for an L322).

Sorry, yes It just clicked, if you sell your old one with the P38 modules then it should fetch more than £400.  I had to think about that one
