What have I done!
Gave my boss my notice of termination of employment last week, and have now just started up a partnership (with another ex-employee) for an electrical contracting business! Got a nice sign-written van, and business cards, but just have to wait for some registration papers and applications to be sorted out (Part P).
Its strange not having no boss…..does that mean that I get to call myself a Company Director!!!! :(biggrin): :(biglaugh): :(contented):

Its strange not having no boss
Obviously you're not married then or you'd still have a boss in the home
Good luck with the business venture 8)
-
Good guess, not married!!!!!
-
All the best to you, hope it all works out :)
The brother-in-law did this a few years ago and has never looked back.
Cheers

Congratulations...
The wife and I have just done the same thing... we're already freelance contracting but the tax changes mean we can't use a payroll company any more.
As a result... Spotlight Learning Ltd has been born!

Thanks for the support. It’s a 50/50 partnership, and we are both putting 100% behind it. Had a meeting with the accountant, and couldn’t believe the things you were entitled to. A washing allowance for dirty work wear!
Do you recon I could get a washing allowance for a dirty jeep! :(biggrin):

If it were owned by the company without a doubt!!!
