have got one and thought of fitting , dont want to use to completly isolate the battery because of the central locking and radio memory, any idea what the next best thing is .cheers alan.....

You could always fit it in the main cable, BUT link the 'IN' to the 'OUT' with smaller cable with something like a 15 or 20 amp fuse in it, that way all the small items are sill able to run, but when/if anyone tries to start the truck it'll also act as an immobiliser, cos the fuse will just pop, leaving no power to anything!!

Just remember to carry a few spare fuses!!!
I have my cut off switch inside the truck, i routed the cable from the battery, into the cab, through the isolator, then back under the bonnet, i used to have it under the bonnet, but got cheesed off having to open the bonnet every time i wanted to use the truck. i have a seperate high amps one for my winch, that one is within reach of the winch in case the solenoids jam whils in use!
