Just don't panick. Answer what you are sure of, and flag the rest, then go back to those you are unsure of.

As for the hazard perception, as long as you don't get trigger-happy, it is not that bad.

Do you know what the required pass mark is for the hazard perception?  I cant seem to find it anywhere!

Cheers,

Mike

Tis OK, I found it! 50 out of 75 for the hazard perception and 51 out of 60 for the questions.

Oh well, I suppose what I dont know now I never will!

(off to have one more read!) lol

Well done!! Now for the next bit. My only advice on that would be to really use your mirrors. And on the gear change exercise, be very gentle with the clutch when slowing down.

Took mine about 5 years ago, failed first time as I was nervous as hell and rushing to get the test finished!!  Mirrors as mentioned are a must, even if you just move your head about a bit every now and then to look as if you are using them, make sure you brake early at junctions and down gear, and MY FAILURE was on the reversing into the 'garage' bit, if you have to shunt it make sure you put on the handbrake on in between selecting reverse and forward gears, I took mine in a Volvo FL6 (piece of ****) with a 6 speed box, 3 weeks later was driving a Magnum with 16 gears and 3 times bigger, they get easier, eventually you won't know any difference to driving a car (remember the first time you towed a trailer!)

Best of luck with the lessons and test (how much is it now, was £29 an hour when I did it)

Chris

Its £35 an hour now, seems to be about the going rate.  Not too bad for 5 years inflation I suppose!

Looking forward to the lessons, dreading the test already!  Lessons start again a week on friday so I shall let you know how it goes... :D

Cheers,

Mike

Nice tractor, but I'd be wary of the trailer. Although driving a flat bed is easier than a box, some examiners don't like them, and will expect a higher standard of driving. It is not official, or even legal, and none will admit it, but I know a couple of examiners and they both confessed it after a couple of pints.
