Straight up;
When I pull off in 1st, there is a [loud] tinny rattle, this appears to go in other gears, (most of the time).
I've had a look underneath, and checked;
Wheel bearings, prop shafts, UJ's, exhaust.
This is above the normal squeeks and squeals, you know you get that hunch that somethings not quite right? :shock:
Any suggestions welcome,
Cheers

I'm guessing it's something to do with gearbox or clutch. The former seams rather drastic, (80k miles), the clutch was replaced about 40k miles ago. Is it possible to break the springs on the clutch plate :?: :?: :?: :shock:
-
yup springs do break, but they give like a jingle sound
my 90 rattles, ever since i fitted a new release bearing so its proberly just not seated quite right, if i rest my foot on clutch pedal it goes :roll:
none of the shockers have broke or any of the bush's worn as these will give a rattle/thumb sound
apart from that, dont no
just check engine b/box mounts, the pas pipes running accross front of chassis
drop the oils out of gearbox and transfer box if your still not convinced its nuffing

my 90 rattles at times. Was driving me nuts but I eventualy found it.
Check the dust shield on the front of the transfer box. Mine sometimes comes lose and rattles against the front propshaft.

I FOUND IT - HURRAH
It was the four nuts securing the airfilter rubber mounts - they were missing all together!!
Cheers chaps
