Seems dear but I am a tightwad! Its not original clearly, although in good condition from the pics BUT I would definately look and drive and poke with a screwdriver for that money!
Best advice really if you want a series one is to go to the series one club whom I am sure will be happy to help and advise you further. I expect for £3k you could get a lot bette.... :?

Watch the comments about the number plate. It is only transferable if the chassis numbers are visible.
I decided to transfer my S1 number to my Disco and almost finished up on a Q plate as the number was not visible. I had to trace and prove all axle/gearbox/engine numbers, 3 visits to DVLA, letters, aggro, AAAGGH!!

Forgot to say, looks nice but dear for none original.

As much as I would love to buy it I cant. I just dont have the funds. I was wondering if it is worth the 3k someone has bid on it or they are bonkers!

  That's way over the top for one which is non original, I would also be very dubious about transferring the number as DVLA are very thorough now about proving it is the original number.
I would sell you my 55 with a Montego in for half that and be very pleased. At present stuck in my garage needing a gearbox change, have the box but no time as repairing daughters RR which has the rust big from standing too long. The number on mine is non transferable but is period.
If you are interested it would come with a whole heap of parts including original engines, petrol and diesel etc.etc.

It finished on ebay with a bid of £3,200

  Think that's another ebay carried away bidder !
Staff Dovey had a 109 for sale for £1750.00 not long ago with a 21/4 diesel which would be more like it.
