Have a 91 200tdi that some times looses power just after starting and just ticks over for a few seconds it seems to be fuel starvation could it be the lift pump antone else had this problem
-
:D :D Just had to sort the same problem on daughters tdi RR fuel pump was stuck up as it had stood for a long time. The arm was at the top of the drive cam so wouldn't pump much at all, got a new pump from Paddocks about £15.00 delivered. Also the fuel pipe was heavily corroded and leaking hence lots of air in it ????
Mine wasnt'helped by the pillock garage she uses making out it was an air lock in the pipes so had swapped the feed and return pipes round, once I sussed that out it runs like a good un, only need to weld the passenger side cill, floor and door shuts now cos said garage man was too scared to tackle it, man's a complete p**t.
