Got this off ebay it said series 3 diff guard :?: (it looked bigger on ebay :lol: ).Anyone know what it is and where it goes. :(

Looks like a mudshield to me... goes in front of the oil seal to keep the muck out.

Just to add... if it is what I it looks like, it's not an optional extra either... they should be fitted as standard to a diff.
