Hi
Can someone tell me what 90-100Amp alternator fits a 200Tdi defender?
I believe a Ford Scorpio one fits??

ive read that a ford scorpio alternator fits a defender, i believe i read it in
land rover owner international technical section not sure but think it kicked out 150 amp

I think there is one from a rangerover that fits.. its a 120 amp alternator.. got one on mine!

ford sierra 95 amp same pulley bolt it straight on,loads in scrap yards £15 ish

But how much rewiring is required?

rewiring???????? same conectors same pulley just bolt on i have had two now

But won't the charging circuits be wired for 50 amps orsomething not the 100+ you're belting out now?

Another guy on another site about 3/4 years ago told me about them .So i put one on 95 amp.I just replaced it again about two months ago (i,ve been going in a lot of deep rivers latley)This one this time was of a 1.6 serria £15 fitted in 5mins looks like it wasnt that old could pass as new

Well I'm convinced! I wonder which lucky scrappy I will visit today?

they do say on the side how many amps.I would have a look a yours and take some details because a lot of breakers down our way have a big pile of them and you sort though them but a lot of other models fit as you will find,I will try and retrieve the message i got from this guy he realy new his altenators

No just the amps and one that looked newish.I had a look at my old one last night and it had a date on it when it was reconditioned
