Title: Agri/forktruck breakers
Post by: rollazuki on May 25, 2007, 17:50:32
Now then, picking everyones brains here(just a quickie eh?)

Anyone know of an agricultural or forklift breakers yard in UK. Preferably in South Yorks area, but Id go further afield.
Does that kind of thing even exist? I dunno.
Even if its just a regular breakers with a few bits and bobs dumped in a corner Id be interested to know.

Rolla

Ps, sorry if this is the wrong bit of the forum to post for a 'missing breakers yard', but it seemed to make most sense..

hydraulic rams and an orbital valve(but dont tell anyone eh! Ssssh)

I just wanna pick up a few bits cheap and have a play before comitting money and effort to full hydro steering.

Aaarrggghhhh  OK before the righteous speak up, its not gonna go on the road , I know hydro is illegal!

(just don't have any actual laws making it illegal it seems??)

Rolla

ps, if you remember the name or whereabouts of the claycross one, Id appreciate it.(thanx hairyass!)

full hydro steering is legal on our smaller JCB fastracs up to 60kph under construction and use regs anything that goes faster such as the bigger fastracs must have a mechanical link from the steering wheel to the steering part of the axle

I will have a look round our workshops we may have some odd stuff lying around that may help

fantastic.
Shopping list so far I guess:
orbital valve
2 end ram(6-8" travel) pref 1 1/2 or bigger diam
single ended ram(same stroke)

I can get pipes made up etc.

I just wanna have a play(unless I can get decent parts for the right cost) and see how practical it is.
Any bits, would be cool, in exchange for beer tokens etc.
