Ok, so it had to go in for repairs and a re-test, but it passed!
Thought the rear brakes were beyond worn, nope, they went through fine. Expected to be told it needed some welding, nope! And watching the emissions test I didn't expect it to pass, but then I've never seen a diesel test before so didn't know what to expect!
Failed on excessive play on the track rod end on one side, and the lower swivel joint on the other side at the front. 1 advisory on a "slightly worn" driveshaft coupling.
Got it back today and had the "pleasure" of paying the bill, but nevermind, my car's roadworthy again!

It always passes on the things you worry about But fails on the things you never suspect Sods law

Aye, typical isn't it. The bloke in the garage said other than the things they had to repair, it was a tidy and sound car. So I'm quite happy, just got the tax to pay now before the end of the month :(

Got the tax. My mate was annoyed when he paid the tax for his quad, same price for 6 months as it is for his car for a year. Then he saw what my change from £100 was for 6 months and he walked out of the Post Office chuckling to himself.
