Thank you Beast.
Yup, Engine is pooped!
-
What's the condition of the rest of it like,i.e is it rotten in the usual places??
-
No rot can be found, panels scrub up well, complimentary supermarket trolley ding in nearside wing, bumpers seen better days, dent in rear bumper where a pillar box came off the worst in a one on one, rear door lock spring needs replacing, leaky sunroof - mainly superficial faults but very clean inside and out.
GS specs,Granite interior.
All original mileage on clock (89k) and all MOT certs to back this up, current mot expires November 2007.
-
how did the engine expire then? out of curiousity

I blew an Head gasket approx 18 months ago, had that repaired, then followed a cam belt, also had that replaced, then I replaced an alternator, finally the gasket that the water pump attaches to the hockey stick began leaking and leaking, and leaking, I had this repaired and thought all my mechanical woes were behind me, I spent last Bank Holiday weekend (07/05/2007) in Devon and was returning to Brum early evening, just made it onto the M5 from the A380 and only an half mile from Exeter services and looked at my instrument panel, where the temp gauge was off the scale, alas, I looked a little too late!
