thanks for the offer EG but as i had to pass a maplins today i went in for a nosey and lo and behold they had a lock motor in stock so i bought it, it comes with a kit of bits which made me think its going to be a sod to mess about with and fit as its not quite the same but surprisingly it screwd in using the same hole as the original  couple of different wire connectors as they were different and job done :D

Hi All
I have two taken from a pug 405 in mine the slave is in the drivers door and fitted the same holes and the other is in the back door all I did was bung in a couple of new holes and bolted it up tight cost £2 from local scrap man . 8)
only problem I have now is that the back door won't unlock from the outside I have to use the central locking but it has always been like this even before the lecky bits were changed :? :?
