Post by: dreadnought110 on May 30, 2007, 07:00:59: 4550kg's :shock: :shock: no wonder me electric fan threw a wobbly!!! back to the viscous then :cry: Oh the caravan is plated at 1720kg! so the rest is the Land rover :shock: that includes the gas awning etc in the Land Rover sit's level though!! 8)

jeez that means your carrying about 900kg of gear in the back of the landy. time to clear some of those shackles out. :lol: :lol:

Post by: muddyjames on May 30, 2007, 17:10:33: I am hoping to get mine on the weigh bridge at work the next time I go away. My van is also rated at 1700kg. I have taken my heavy tool boxes out the disco for better mpg (but will be going back in if the goverment drop the tax on veg oil!!! )

How heavy does a disco weigh roughly?

Before anyone askes then, yes I have done the dvla trailer test to allow me to tow it :lol: :wink:

Longer the trailer, easier it is to reverse. The main thing that lets us landy tow'ers down when reversing is the steering lock :lol:
