Goth Thing failed the MOT on two leaking rear shocks, as these are Pro-comp es9000 I was sure they have a lifetime warranty and wanted them replaced under the warrantee
I phoned Bearmach as I bought the shocks from them about 5 years ago, they thought I had gone mad, "no one offers a life time warrantee" on shocks I was informed, you only have a years guarantee.
ExplorerUK are the distributors for Procomp so I thought it’s only the cost of a phone call.
Well to my surprise they didn’t hesitate to replace them, they didn’t want to know where I got them from, how old they were or have you got the receipt, just what’s your address and what size do you want.
I had to pay postage for the new set and send the old ones back, but two new shocks for £15 I’m impressed.

If I was you I would have also insisted that they knew who sold the shockers to you and their response to your request to replace them under the lifetime warranty.
Too many retailers make their own rules up to suit themselves... they obviously didn't want to pay the P&P so fobbed you off.

Nah, warranties like that are by the manufacturer/importer not the retailer, they should have known, but I bet a retailer who did know they had life time guarantee would juct refer you to explorer.
