Lovely to see the brilliant logo that some designer has come up with.....
It looks like an arty farty swastika!

It is a bit rubbish, isn't it. The BBC were showcasing logos that viewers had sent in. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/6719747.stm) The first one was quite good I thought.
There's a petition to get rid of it (http://www.gopetition.co.uk/signatures.php?petid=12539) too.

Wonder if the designer remembered Ken 'love Newts - hates 4x4s' Livingstone abusing that journalist a whileback & decided to have a laugh at his expense??

I think they should have a logo which looks like the nations wallet being drained of all it's cash on yet another venture to make the capital an even nicer place to live ?

I've worked it out, the blobs on the right are a little guy (possibly from dragonball Z) playing on an arcade machine

They said on the news (and showed it too) that its more than a logo, its a moveing image. Looked even more messy to me though.
I wonder if the "moving image" thing is an indication to the number of stolen/broken LCD TV's you can expect to see (or not) on the 2012 site? I'm sure the games will use less power and therefore be more green than ever (achived by baning vehicles with 2 powered axles from traveling to the area no doubt)

The original logo may (or may not) be awful, but please remember the principles of Mud Club before posting modified logos.

so for £400k they came up with that bit of rubbish did they :roll: i,m all for new and innovative logos to show off all thats great in Great Britain but that aint it. surely for a fraction of that cost they could have come up with something alot better and put the rest of the money towards something like ...i dunno maybe making it easier for disadvantaged kids to see the olympics when its actually on :?

I cannot believe that there was a group of people sat in a room with loads of different logos to choose from and they chose this! Either the person who "designed" it is having it away with someone high up or all of the others were rubbish.
