Title: TD4 Smoking.

Just recently when starting her up first thing, or even starting after being stood for a few hours, the engine revs up very eratically and you can physically feel the engine vibrate the whole car, then I get alot of white/grey smoke.
Then she will run perfect all day long, until she has stood for a while and again it will happen  :?
Will be given the stealer a call to book her in under warranty, though anyone have any ideas before I go.

Glow plugs?  Not sure how much difference they make on a TD4.

:D Only just read this artical.Guy who works  with me had  a same  problem and it turned out ot be a faulty injector.White smoke when pulling away and misfire..........sorry for the info   :(

Your 100% right, took it to the dealers and they diagnosed and replaced the faulty injector, all working nicely now  :D
