Title: Not Just For Our Serving Police Officers

This (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wasting-Police-Time-Crazy-World/dp/0955285410/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_b/203-8766435-0646331) sounds like the book for you guys.

Just the thing to read during those boring 'Diversity Training' sessions, give it to the lecturer afterwards & watch the veins stand out on his/her forehead

I do like the one linked on that page; 'Blood, Sweat & Tea' (in the 'Also Bought' section) that's a great read

Edit @ 23:35
The 'blog' itself is at;

I let one of our 'Drunk-Mobile' drivers have a quick read of 'Blood, Sweat & Tea' this morning.

I think it struck a chord & was agreed upon

I went into Wakefield between finishing work & picking 'small-child' up and bought this, thankfully the only proper bookshop in thecity-centre had a copy.
I then sat sniggering to myself in the school car-park.

The author isn't a very 'PC' PC, but he does seem to believe in the law being applied equally & without prejudice.

I did used to have a look at his 'blog' every know and then and it had me alternately in stitches, while nodding in agreement, but also shouting in fury at the stupidity of the decisions (or not, as the case may be) made by the supposed 'more experienced' hierarchy.
I shall have to get a copy before the orders come out to find all copies of it and burn it!

Go for it!

He seems quite an admirer of that Arizona Sheriff (Joe Arpaio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio)) & his techniques to cut down on reoffenders.

Mmm, chaingangs of offenders litter picking on the M1 sounds good to me

You don't think the various Chief Constables could come Farenheit 451 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farenheit_451) on us do you?

Just read the link re the above. Thought provoking stuff, especially the bit about the population being entertained by 'televisions and in-ear radios'!
Is the right to free speech, thought, and expression gradually being eroded?
I have my opinions on that but a public forum would not be the place to put them! They would be better suited over a pint, in a pub. That is of course, if they don't get banned soon!

Apparantly, Joe Arpaio 'offered' Paris Hilton (http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_272613377.shtml) a place at his facility.
Now what would have made 'interesting' watching on TV

I've got about half-way through, as it was a relatively quiet morning yesterday.
Hope it's the same today, once all the mornings sorting out is done, then I can read the rest

I think he must visit some of the same customers that we have going by the way he writes about them
