Title: Exhaust help....
Post by: Bunnie on June 12, 2007, 19:23:09
I need some advise, recently the back box and silencer on puggy kinda broke :( so no i have a straight through pipe that sites sorta inline with the rear wheels.

ive phoned various people to try and get a quote on repair as shes now out of warranty and i dont need to got to pug... but it seems with it being a 2ltr 04 reg they dont stock it and if they do its complete with the cat costing near the £250 mark :(

However if i go to pug i can get the centre section for £100 plus £7 for some clips.

i dont want to spent the 100+ when ive just spent 200 on new tyres and ive got to buy new locking wheel nuts soon at £35/40 a set plus a £150 service before end of summer. :(

so what im looking for is some advise on if there is a tempoary fix i could do untill i A) have the money  or B) have even more money to put the stainless system on i want. which im hoping either way will be before the end of year. (praying on insurance claim being sorted!) Therefore not inclined to be spending out near 600 in total if i do the proper pug repair and then the stainless in a few more months.

While its all good that nothing trys to sit on my arse (apart from the odd twit of a chav) its giving me a major headache being so loud and perminate noise and burbling im getting

what would anyone recomend?
is there something i can do to tie the back box back on?
or am i gonna have to give in and go to pug

Fankies in advance and appologies its not 4x4 related.

You could always try delbay.

I got a full system including brackets front to back including postage brand new in box as it were for £89.00s sent from London to West Highlands. I fitted it and had no problems It was for my 4x4 Toyota

Don't know what vehicle youve got but might be worth a try.

Cheers H
