Title: Instant gasket and thread lock ????????????

Just about ready to put my 300tdi engine back together and found there are lots of different instant gasket types and thread lock fluids available,
So now im totaly confused as to which ones to buy.

What do any of you guys recomend and use?
For sump gasket,crankshaft bolt and rear bell housing; and anything else i might need.
Does anybody still use red hermitite on gaskets prior to fitting?

All advice gratefully recieved :D

Use Hylomar Universal blue http://www.hylomar.co.uk/universalblue.htm for the gaskets and
Locktite 2701 on the crank bolt http://www.loctite.com/int_henkel/loctite_uk/index.cfm?&pageid=313&layout=2


Both should be available on e bay
