Does the rear wheel arches near to the door shuts come under the MOT or not and would like confirmation before i commit to buy it,cheers Andy.

if they are corroded within X centimetres of the seat belt mounting then its a fail. Sorry, can't remember what X is

If it is within 30cm then i think it would fail. Hi Kev-it's where you have the door seal that comes down and over the wheel arch and close to the rear seat so i assume it's close to the bottom seat belt mounting point.

Yes if it's within 30cm of a seat belt mounting or body mounting. Which it will be it will fail the test. :cry:

Sounds like it then, wern't sure if it was rot near a stress point or sharp edges protruding out at the side, as said either one will cause you grief

Looks like a bit of plating to be done then

I've just done the passenger side on mine this weekend.  It's quite straight forward, I spent more time stripping the trim out and painting and sealing after and re-assembling than I did making the plates and welding them in
