Yeah, can you check for my drill chuck-key and the stylus from my PDA, whilst you're down there!

Having read all of this before sausage-fingers clicked the wrong button, I thought I out to make a few comments about some of the things discussed.
First and foremost... apologies to the people encountering delays in supply of club merchandise. The reasons have been explained, and we would like to thank you for your patience. The person who contacted Joanne to cancel your order, this has been done and a full refund will be issued ASAP.
A couple of other points....
As mentioned, the club itself holds a small amount of stock. This is so we don't have large amounts of money tied up doing nothing, and also because there is a fair range of sizes, colours, etc. and keeping sufficient of them all would be a nightmare. As a result, if it gets very busy and personal circumstances prevent Joanne from keeping on top of things, then there are delays. These are unfotunate, and she does what she can to try and avoid them.
All purchases are made from the club, and payments are collected via paypal. This happens at the time of order, as it is the only way to manage things sensibly. As a matter of policy, we do not take any money into the club funds from Paypal until orders have been fulfilled... this means that in the case of any problems or cancellations, refunds can be issued without delay.
Keri, thanks for your suggestion. For the vast majority of the time, the club shop runs very well. Orders are generally sent out within a couple of days. The issue is that as with so many things in life, very few people bother to say thanks, so you only ever see the problems on the forum.
I hope this clears a few things up, and I'd like to say a big thank you to Joanne for her continuing efforts in keeping the club shop running as smoothly as it does.
(She's on some good drugs now, so hopefully she'll be fully recovered soon)

I've ordered leads of stickers oer the years from the shop......
The shop is like off roading my zuke...... its not fast, and sometimes you really wish it was quicker but when you get what you've been after its superb....
Well packaged too.....
I now know that orders take upto a few weeks, and I soon stopped asking where my order is.... they come, you have to wait, but the stickers are part of the club, and Id rather they be the price they are and take 3 weeks than cost 3 times more and arrive next day!
Keep up the good work....
Why not tell people in plain simple English that they must expect delivery in upto 28 days....?
-
that's a good idea and i'm sure muddyweb and the forum adminstrator's will add that on to the club shop.
having suffered from laryingitus many times it realy drains you and having to look after Tim and the baby poor joanne must be realy suffering.
Get well soon Jo i still love you :(biglove):

Yes.... I think it might be worth having a note when ordering about the possible time for delivery. Those of us who have been here for a while fully understand, but new members can be disappointed by misunderstood delays.
Like all things Mud-Club, the effort put in by 'the few' is truly astonishing and is really appreciated. I, like others, try my best to do my bit to help MC evolve, but it simply doesn't compare to the time and effort put in by the founders.
All I can say is get well soon Joanne, and keep up the great work.

Because usually, this isn't the case. She normally gets orders out in less than a week. These problems only happen every now and again.

The confirmation emails from the shop already do ;-)
Just for the record, Joanne doesn't have Laryngitis.. she has tonsilitis.. her throat has been swollen up and she's on a course of strong anti-biotics... ;-)

Another idea is maybe to close the shop down temporarily while Mrs Muddyweb is ill or has problems? Cos the other problem is the stress of having all the waiting orders to do once she is well again??

No But Yeah But No.............
If People are lead to believe that delivery may be upto 28 days then when it arrives in 5 they'll be overjoyed.... and mud-club will have exceeded their expectations not dissapointed...
Cotton traders state 28 days for delivery, usually within 3 but they say 28 and if it's 28 you knew that before ordering.... so tough titty!
Once you've oredred from the club shop a couple of times you understand how it works.... my last order suprised me so much I wondered who'd sent me a summons..... :? packet, not parcel and about 2 days, I wasn't expecting a little red card through the door so quickly!

As a penance, I suggest getting ole sausage-fingers down there packing up some orders to help clear any backlog
