Title: starter motor protection

hi, anyone got any ideas for protecting my new starter motor after the last one break due to water and mud  its on a 1600 16 v vitara , any ideas greatfully received thanks .

not much you can do im affraid m8
you cud try covering the starter with a big rubber glove and a good dose of thick grease

hay mate,dont know if its any help to you but i have put lots of grease on and around starter and its been on there for 4 months now and not had any probs.and that is off roading and deep wading every sunday :D give or take :roll:  :lol:

Find a marine/boat shop
buy a tub of waterproof boat grease and pack everything with that, it doesnt wash off as easily.

hi , new starter is on will try some grease and see how it goes .
