Title: Coolent drain plug on the engine - 300tdi
Post by: cardiff_gareth on June 26, 2007, 13:22:57
Reading the haynes manual and it says that when dropping the coolent level to take off expansion tank filler cap, then unscrew bottom radiator hose and let it run out, it then says to unscrew a drain plug on the left hand side of the engine but doesn't show what it looks like or where it is  ](*,)

Anyone got any idea's as to where I can find it and what it looks like  :-k

I think it refers to the black plug in the top of the radiator, but look forward to being corrected

I've never used it, but, I seem to remember it being jst above the sump/block joint mid-way along from front to back...........

Might be wrong it might be another engine I'm thinking of as like I said, I've never used it, I just un-do the balck bung and header tank cap then pull the bottom hose off, seemed to work OK for me for the last 20 years...............
