Bought a rear ladder off Ebay earlier on but it came with no screws.
Do I take it that its 2 self tappers at the top (there is a groove for the door top and behind that are 2 screw holes) ??
I'm puzzled about the 2 screws hole fixings at the bottom of the ladder, the guy said that you can get rivets that when squashed they give you a thread so you can screw a nut into it :?: :?:

hi mate they are called rivenuts and you can get them from a motorfactors the only thing is you should use a rivenut tool to fit them but i have used in the past a bolt and nut to crush them

Gareth,
I think Wizard has a Rivinut tool so you could ask him about borrowing it, if not there are techniques for fitting them without the tool...I have seen postings in various forums about how to do it

Nah, easy - done millions of 'em at work - trick is to drill the hole slightly under-size - that way the teeth on the collapsible portion have no option but to bite as you tap it into the hole - stops it spinning if you use the nut, bolt and washer method to crush 'em.
