Have just had a front bearing collapse  . Took it all off and fitted new bearings, oil seal etc. Everything is seated correctly but it now wont go on properly  . It feels like the bearing is hitting up against the cast rim in the stub axle but not sure that it is :? .
Anyone any ideas why it wont now fit when it was fit beforehand :?

It may of damaged the stub alxe when the bearing went,
Check for any signs of damage on the stub that isn't
allowing it to go on fully, Try sliding just the bearing down
the stub to see that it goes all the way.
You can remove minor damage with emery paper.

Paul,
Stub axle seems fine. The bearing will slide right down to the rim cast in the stub axle. When you put it all together and slide on there is not enough to get the various locknuts etc on as well. Disc appears to be sitting too far forward anyway as calipher wont go back on.

In that case it sounds like you may not of pressed the
outer bearing sleve in the hub enough.
