Wingnut has discovered the inadequacies of his Discovery on a lane near to Pershore on the way to his mothers, he has his daughter with him and is currently walking the streets trying to find a farmer to help extricate the vehicle.
If anyone local is available to help could they please pm me with contact details please and I'll pass his number on - even just a lift to his mothers so he can drop his daughter off and come back with a box of matches will suffice.
Thanks

Sadly it's nearly 70 miles from here so I doubt I would get there in a reasonable amount of time :(
-
laning on his own
tut tut tut!
what do you say neil :P
-
/me looks all innocent.
I had Frankie Boy in the RR with me :)
-
Didn't think there was anything that difficult near to Pershore, other than 2 lanes with fords near Naunton Beauchamp.
We want photos!!!!!!!
-
Thanks for all the offers but it is being dealt with now.
-
Come on, we have got to know what happened.
-
I'm sure Wingnut will post something later. :)

   it was not any of the lanes with fords ,a generally easy lane in the right weather ,sadly i discovered the field next to it had leaked some of its mud ,i spotted it before i would have sank upto my axles , but when i stuck it in reverse i skewed, making my escape difficult ,if id have been on my own ,i would have taken the time to jack up the disco and push it over back into the tracks ,but as i had my kid with me ,i decided to go to the nearest farm ,the farmer was great and very helpfull ,he pulled me straight 2ft or so and i was back under my own steam and on my way
now i agree with laning on your own is a no no  and appreciate all comments and critisism ,i feel stupid having to ask for help when i could have reversed 10ft earlier and not have go into difficulty
im not going to say which lane it is as the farmer asked it not to be made common knowledge ,and i can respect that ,
thanks everyone who was willing to come out to me ,and a big thankyou to chrisw who did  as well as provide food for the little un if i can ever repay the favour

sounds like you were lucky and found a friendly farmer.

  will drop him a beer or 10 when im passing next
