Post by: martyn on July 05, 2007, 22:30:35
I HAVE A DISCO2 ON GAS OK FOR MILES THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTS TO MISS ONE BANK OF THE V  STARTS TO MISS  FLICK IT INTO PETROL AND ITS OK BY SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH IT WILL EVENTUALLY CLEAR.

YOU MAY LAUGH BUT I AM DESPERATE AS THIS HAS BEEN A LONG RUNNING PROBLEM 3/4 MONTHS COSTING SERIOUS MONEY I HAVE EVEN CONSIDERED TAKING THIS CAR BACK TO LAKELAND L/ROVER TO SORT THESE INITIALLY FITTED THE SYSETEM BUT THAT MEANS A 750MILES ROUND TRIP NO ONE IN S/WALES SEEMS TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT LPG OR DOESNT WANT TO HAVE THE AGRO OF HAVING A LOOK AT IT NEW LEADS ,PLUGS ,K+N ,AIR FLOW METER ++++++ ANY IDEAS OR DOES SOMEONE KNOW OF ANYONE IN S/WALES WHO IS ANYGOOD

make sure the gaps on the plugs are correct as this will make it miss and backfire. I beleive the plug gap should be set up less than normal when running on gas. can't remember the exact gap sorry
good luck

had the same thing with my lpg it was found to be the relay pack that switches the injectors off when you flick on to lpg one relay was staying closed and still letting petrol in to the piston coursing it to flood with lpg and petrol and it ended up misfireing. I still need to get a new relay bank for mine but as i temp mesure i just put a switch on the live feed to the fuel pump so when i flick to lpg i just switch off the petrol pump and it runs great.
