Title: WEST MIDS CREW ( help needed )
Post by: barmiebrumie on July 06, 2007, 14:20:44: Ok guy's & gal's as some of you know Betty boo has got a new Disco :D with a blown engine so this weekend Solihullmick (vey nice man) & myself (also very nice man) will be removeing said engine & replacing with the one out of Beck's old Disco, also all of the off road bits are to be transfered :- ie shock's/springs Tank gaurd, snorkle ect ect,

So the reason for post is --- if you going to be sitting on you sette's like cabbage's & nothing better to do you are more that welcome to lend a hand :wink:

For any directions to Mick's garage please call me,

Will be at home first as have to put hub back together to drive the old one to Mick's, should be done by about 10/11 ish then on to Mick's for hard graft :wink:

Second image is where half of the cv & swivel bearings had collapsed :shock: & still drove home all be it in difflock :wink:

Post by: solihull-mick on July 07, 2007, 00:35:01: ok update, the engine is out of betty boos the new disco, ready to cut off the 300 engine mounts and reweld 200 engine mounts in, Very long day of repairing far to many cars and vans , so many thanks to jamie, chris w and samie lad for the hard work tonite, also suzie for making such great tea, :D ,

Not a problem with people helping as long as we all remember this is a workshop and heath and safety rules, so no children in the shop,also you smokers the law is outside only, not my rules its in the insurance policy, I do have paying work booked in for the morning so anybody wanting to help after 12pm would be good, Should be a good day, oh and we do have the power to eject trouble makers!!!!! have you seen how big jamie is!!!!! :lol:

Got to micks at about 11am in Becky's old disco & drove home at 10pm in her new one with the engine, full suspention , diff gaurds, Steering guard, front bumper/A bar & snorkle all taken off the old one & fitted to the new one :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: ,

Have to say BIG BIG thanks to Mick & his work mates & let you all know he is the dog's dangley's when it comes to mechanic's,

just have to remove & refit tank gaurd tomorrow & fit Becky's wheels/tyre's, cb & cd player & all done.

I think all in all it will be one hell of a good weekends work.

Post by: andygod on July 08, 2007, 11:43:32: Well done to Mick and his crew. I'm amazed at the amount of work they got through yesterday. I hope that itâ€™s not long before Becky's old motor is reincarnated again. The young lad who is having Becky's Disco (sorry canâ€™t remember his name) and was helping certainly deserves it. He was working like a Trojan, hope that he comes laning with us in the future. Micks got himself a well kitted out unit and his expertise is second to none. Glad to hear that Becky's new motor is up and running, it looks the dogs and just needs some stickers to finish things off.
