Title: Where is Drumclog?
Post by: fastboy on July 07, 2007, 22:24:25
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and I've been looking for ages for somewhere to take my landie (Disco 3) off road. Not looking for anything too challenging though.

A couple of weeks ago, I drove out to Drumclog, but I couldn't find exactly where you can go off-road. Another thing is, can I just turn up on any Saturday or Sunday and pay to get access?

If not, does anyone else know where else I can take my car off road? Like I said, I'm not looking for anything too challenging to begin with.

Any help or advice would be really appreciated guys!  :D

PS. Forgot to say, I live in Glasgow.

In Drumclog village... turn down the side of the copper roofed church and follow the road.... keep going straight across junction and you'll enter farm that holds the events.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1MyX_GWcdk watch that, then do a search on youtube.com as drumclog can be pretty xtreme.

LOL @ video   .

I've found a link to Glentarkie: I'm going to give them a call in the morning and see if I can pop up and see it.

If it's any good, I might sign up and go there regularly.

Anyone here been there before?

yeh
stay out the water if uve never been before
some varies between 4-5ft deep as i found out one day & sunk my 90,
i bailed out when the water was up to my waist inside

tarkie is good for getting to know your vehicle & also to go for a gentle play as its mostly tracks of varying difficulties that stay the same most o the year round where as DC varies every visit
