Title: TD5 Suspension

Yet again I am suffering problems with my TD5. The rear air bag suspension was repaired around 4 weeks ago as the nearside kept dropping when parked up. Got home from work yesterday having used the wifes car and the TD5 is sat on the drive listing to the rear nearside again. The repair consisted of a new airbag. I am wondering if its something to do with the control valve now, but its been fine for the last 4 weeks.

How much will it cost me to replace the air suspension with conventional suspension and add a 2 inch lift all round?.

Have a chat with Devon 4x4 - I know they do this quite often and replace with OME parts (though of course you don't have to use them).

Apparently it's not too difficult.

Unfortunately I think they replaced the wrong part.

I have EAS on my LSE and I love it, but then I've thrown a big pile of cash at it too.  I also think the DII is harder to diagnose than the RRC, if you don't have access tot he computer it may be time to go coils.

Spray some detergent-laced water around the air bag and the unions.  You should be able to see if there is a leak.  Personally, I'd be renewing the o-rings on the valve block before I replaced the EAS with coils, although I'm more familiar with this on a P38 than a DII.

O rings or the pipe unions would be my first thought too, but looking at the manul for the DII they aren't as easy as either Range Rover to strip down.

Try Rover Renovation in the states for advice, they were really helpfull to me.

Problem is it used to do this regularly before I had the airbags replaced. It hasn't done it for 4 weeks and then suddenly this morning once again. Surley if it leaks it would leak all the time not just occasionally.

my dad has a 2"lifted disco2 with air and its fine, im not sure but can the "ace" be problematic if you go to coil?

Maybe the height sensors need recalibrating? My TD5 was sagging on one side but some software adjustments soon had it level again...
