Is that just bolted through the floor? no rust/water probs?

Yep.

bolt through floor, nut, jack then wing nut.

Put a bit of silicon underneath, never had and problems, wet carpets ect.

Its been there now 3 years I think

I have mine under the back of the front seats, mine's 5' and I keep it in 4 peices.
