All about disused underground stuff. Lot of interesting and eerie pics.

And if you live Around Pompey, more of the same. Might have to setup the PDA and go explore as I live at the foot of the hill :)

First linky works just fine.

I have been thinking about getting permission to have a wander round Fort Widley with a Group sometime. I mentioned it here at work and the current owners of the fort seemd to be happy with the idea.

Could make a walk out of it, in fact, I think there are some routes on there.

underground link works for me. Extremely fascinating. I love things that were built then neglected like underground stations and canals etc. Hence why I rebuild canals!!

I would LOVE to go on a guided tour of the dis used stations one day. I know some of them get used for storing archived BBC footage. It may say on that site above but I am off to bed so had a quick browse through it. Will look properly tomorrow.

Thanks for posting a fab site.

More strange goings on at Portsdown Hill  I stopped up there the other afternoon on the way back from work, to admire the view. The next thing I know there were lots of strange men walking around the area! They were all wearing shorts. I got the impression that I may have parked in the wrong place, namely in a parking area reserved for  the 'Portsdown Hill, Shorts wearing, but doing a very good impression of a tent, club'!
I drove off rather quickly.

When I used to work in Norfolk, night patrols were always interesting, due to the large amount former RAF and USAAF bases around the area. Pretty weird going into some of the old barrack blocks and finding murals that had been drawn by the aircrew, still on the walls.

Of course I can't agree with anything that might be seen as even remotely 'crossing the boundaries'
