I'm off to Sweden next Sunday for the Landrover Club of Sweden 20th Anniversary Celebrations, with Dr Neil and Jas278.
Just getting the truck sorted.
Oils and filters, Tracking, Props Balanced  all the usual stuff.
Cleaned inside and will wash later in the week.
Question is......... Do i wrap it in moth balls till next weekend or drive it incase something else breaks and i've got time to sort it :?: :?: :?:
-
personally i would wrap it up, sod's law says something will break between now and when you have to go!

I would drive it now as if it is going to brake i would rather it do it now not in a unknow part of sweaden

I used mine right up to doing my Scandinavia trip, as long as you have had her thoroughly serviced and had a good look around her it should be fine..... We drove mine 8+ hrs a day for 3 weeks including 2 days on swedish offroad tour and only blew one fuse!

Drive like a puff    YOU   no chance but i do think you should drive it, Its better if something goes on it now so you have afew days left to get it sorted
-
Yeah drive it you wusss!!
By the way i'm busy until Sunday morning

like has been said before if you dont touch it till you go to sweden and something breaks youve no time to fix it but if you drive it now and it breaks youve got some time on your hands.
or by putting this thread on youve cursed your car anyway so either you mothball it or drive it its going to breakdown most inconveniently :P
-
Just push it around all week :D
-
Make sure your breakdown covers Europe :(biggrin):
-
I dont know what you worrying about , me or the Dr will end up fixing it anyway............

2 days before I left for Africa, the 101 ate a diff filler nut and destroyed the diff pan in the process. Because it happened before I left, I was able to sort it in half an hour the next day with a new diff pan. Otherwise I'd have probably ended up gaffa taping up the big hole and hoping for the best...
