remove fan cover to aid access to tensioner
with a 15mm spanner place on the wheel bolt and lever back, so you can remove the fanbelt

undo the tensioner bolt anti clockwise and remove from engine block
place whole unit in a vice ,and with a 15mm socket or spanner undo bolt clockwise removing wheel from the unit

place wheel on a hard surface ,and with a fine screwdriver or pick remove circlip retaining the bearing in place

once circlip is removed place wheel on top a vice with enough space for bearing to drop .i used an 11/16th socket on an extion bar tapping out the bearing circlip side ,as there is a shoulder on the other side.

So you can still get the bearing then? I had to replace the whole arm becasue mine seized up and the belt damaged the pulley surface.

Oh sure! Where were you BEFORE I dropped 140 quid to have a new tensioner fitted!?
Well, now I know for next time. Good work.
