At the time of its issue i was about 4 1/2 years old :lol: :lol:
I notice that the tax disc was issued for only 4 months, was this normal back then?

Hi,
yes you used to be able to tax your car 3 times a year for 4 months at a time - it worked really well for motorbike users (as i was at that time) so that you could keep your bike off the road in the worst conditions (i believe this is called fair weather riding syndrome) and not have to pay :lol: i did this :wink:

My mother had an Austin Gypsy that was onle ever taxed December to March. Rest of the time it sat in a barn.
