Title: Dropping a 300tdi in an old 2.5 90
Post by: hobbit on December 25, 2004, 14:23:08
Although there are electrical sensors on the engine, in theory I'm presuming the motor will run, with the basic electrical items plugged up. Plus obviously fuel and linkeages

This is an area I've not played in, so any insight would be of help to my friend

Should do.  If it's an early 300 you might not even have an ECU.

It a new engine tim, so I'm thinking connect up as normal and see how it goes really

Not really got any reference to what/where, but the people that are doing it in the new year are used to Landys so should work out

It's a (relatively) straightforward job, especially if you have all the bits.

As you say, just systematically connect up all the bits, and it ought to go.

They have a 300 disco to fall back on for any accessories or extras, but the engine is complete
