Spent a couple of hours jetwashing the underside of the Disco today. I also bought a shutz gun and canister.
I bought a canister of shutz simply for the canister to fit the gun. Although I've used waxiol before, I've never used shutz.
I also have a lage can of waxoil which was given to me, which started this whole thing off...
can I use both... one or the other?
Can someone enlighten me to the pro's and cons of using shutz?

I'd Shutz the outside, waxoyle inside the rails etc. Shutz has a greater resistance to chipping etc. Looks better too, unless you've got black waxoyle

i was told by my local garage that a 50/50 mix gives the best of both worlds.
....worth a try, you can always go o ver it again with the one you prefer.
i also heard of using old engine oil and parrafin?? ..the chassis never seem to rot in the engine bay, where they get a bit of oil, so sounds reasonable...

Shutz under the car, it dries tougher. Waxoil insode panels, inside doors and inside box sections/chassis etc.
BEWARE:
Shutz guns often come with the long tube for getting inside chassis etc. DO NOT use them in conjunction with the over the counter cans of waxoil.
They should be used with an additional aluminium 'jar' that you fill with waxoil and is pressure proof and fits in place of the waxoil/shutz can.
You WILL explode the can if you dont use one, and 2 litres of exploded waxoil is messy.
PS, heat the cans up in a tub of hot water to soften the underseal to get easier and better results.

Is it proper Shutz or Waxoil Shutz? big difference.
Proper shutz ddries like a paint for over-painting. Unless you have the bodywork thoroughly clean and free from grease and rust then don't bother. It will lift and make matters worse not better.
If it's the waxoil shutz then get it used, it's much better in high impact areas then waxoil and doesn't get washed off.
Personally not had any problems with the waxoil tins exploding but I've heard of it happening. Everyone I know just sticks the tin on the gun, why else would it have the thread on it?

I don't know that brand but as a rule of thumb I would say if it sets hard then it's only any use on minty new cars or new panels and for the bottom of doors and front spoilers before applying the top coat.
I used shutz once in my youth under the wings of my Escort and when I applied a very light coat of waxoil over the top it all crozzled, total waste of time and money so I black waxoiled it to death instead.

looks like it's the waxoil route then...
will head down to Halfrauds and get some of the black stuff for the rails and use the clear I was given for injecting.

The tin only explodes if you put the cavity tube on it.
You screw em on normally for spraying and its ok, but you screw the long flexi tube onto it for reaching down cavities, and if you use the can it comes in, bad things happen!!!
You can buy a screw on vessel that is specifically for the purpose of cavity spraying.
