I would love to know what the mudflaps in FRONT of the wheels are meant to do ? :?

thats my car you biatches! whats wrong with it?
-
Well if it was mine and the mudflaps were at the front - they'd get ripped off - or make an awful noise as the wind would push them *onto* the tyres???
-
Wonder how long those ickle lights hanging down from the bumper corners would last off road and does anyone really need THREE cb ariels ?
Pity you cant post high res pics on here - it really has to be seen that way to ...........errr...................appreciate it
-
Very nice  Somebody loves it.
The forward flaps (I'm referring to the ones on the vehicle  ) are to stop water spraying up over the front onto the screen. They used them a lot on rally cars in the 60's.
-
Poor landy  Hopefully someone will save it and return him to the life he should have,( a very muddy one :D )
But then again each to there own, and it certainly gets "looked after "
-
Heres another pic..............................................................
-
I think it belongs to Wayne Kerr
-
Its Vile.... Bucket please :?
-
Well I aren't going to comment cos I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings ......... but the landy next to it seems to have the front mud flaps in front of the wheels too
-
Never mind 3 CB ariels .. what's with 4 wing mirrors???
-

-

I actually agree, someone has actually dared to be different and it doesn't look half as bad as some peoples efforts. And it shows someone loves it very much, whos to say it never gets muddy. Just because its got lots of shiny bits maybe someone enjoys cleaning and polishing them.
-
its horrible to every degree, but as has been said - at least someone somewhere has a bit of individuality

We chaned our gennie to JD's bumper one year to stop the billing gippos nicking it. Then chained that to the windbreak so they wouldnt steal the landy

Never mind 3 CB ariels .. what's with 4 wing mirrors???
its a series, you need 4 mirrors to be able to see
-
well don't know if anybody can remember seeing a pink camo (this went onto 3 other landrovers) hybrid 109 lwb landrover and a very unusual painted rrc then that would be us now were are just plain boring brown!!!!
its great to be different and when you go to shows you can find yours easily!!!!!
debbie
-
I'd drive it, but I like both shiney and muddy things, so that'd be my tow truck, and all my others (2 S3's and 1980 RR) would be covered in mud.
-
Isn't the main beauty of a Land Rover the fact that you can bolt bits on, or take bits off, so that it exactly suits your individual needs or wants? And, when your needs change you don't have to buy another vehicle, just change the one that you have........................thinking of a trip overseas next year, anyone got one of those floatation things that bolt on to a series?!!

From the first ever Billing Show
(http://www.boddle.me.uk/land-rover/Landy3.jpg)
Yes you can get it Dirty
(http://www.boddle.me.uk/land-rover/Landy5.jpg)
But when you get Bored or grow up you can always change it to this
(http://www.boddle.me.uk/land-rover/StrangeRover8.jpg)
Guilty as charged I'm afraid, Like seeing Truck with lots of light hence all the LED's on the Tomb-Rover
-
they are great land rovers are arn't they!!! you can change things, spend time apart from partners!!!! even lightens your pockets
but hey people who have um keep um or change to another landrover
-
its not too bad, i mean you've all seen my shiney green lights 8) its different :D
-
On another note. A lot of the import 4x4 like the Pajs have a third mirror on the nose, its actually really handy at times, its intended for parking but I've used it getting out of tight spots where people forget that a 4x4 needs more than 1" to get out of a parking space.
-
where people forget that a 4x4 needs more than 1" to get out of a parking space.
do they i normally bash my way out
-
fatal mistake parking too close to a mucky, well kitted 4x4!
....sorry mate, was that your wing mirror?!
-
I like that truck too. Wouldnt do it to my own truck, but its different and its always good to be individual! :)
-
It's a bit of fun and something to talk about; bet if it was in a filling station you'd go and talk to the owner?
Not my cup of tea but ive seen a lot worse, better than a Saxo with full body kit £300 a litre paint job, 4 exhausts and tyres thinner than an elastic band!
-
Nice to see somthing different from the normal school run bus.
