-
You should blank it off on the exhaust manifold. Remove all the unwanted pipework. I also replaced the EGR valve with this:

not touched the disco yet, but i found a 2p piece fit nicely in the oriface where the two pipes meet, removed the vac hose (and blocked off)... hey presto!
-
so where do i put the blanking plate anyone with a pic would be a great help
-
I put mine on the joint with the top air hose, it's the easiest to undo without snapping anything and it really doesn't matter where you fit it as long as you fit it :D
-
Here's a photo of where mine was fitted.

Thats where I fitted mine. Took 5 mins. Didnt notice any change at first but after a couple of hundred miles, greatly reduced smoke and slightly more power. 5 quid from fleabay, no regrets.

That's where mine is too.

I took off all the EGR valve pipe work and also the top intercooler hose and fitted a 300tdi defender top intercooler hose and bolted the plate to the exhause manifold where the EGR vale used to sit in.

done it today took the whole valve off and put the blank over the hole made a lot of difference to the performance
