removing a manufacturers security device could have issues, especially when it comes to insurance.

....i`m a tad suspicious of this e-bay ad, think about it, they have your address, and they have removed the immobiliser from your landy......

....hmmm :?

reminds me of a garage in west yorkshire, RUMOURED to be fitting cd players, and taking address details (for the garentee) ......quite mysteriously a few days later these new cd players were disappearing in the night...

Don't bother.  Just watch it disappear in the rear view as you drive off in the Rangey

Heard this sort of thing before. if your veichle is stolen and recovered and you said an alarm/immod was fitted they will know if it was working or not at the time of theft. if they find it was disabled (the scum wont have had to defeat it) they wont pay out. Better fixed than disabled.

Too true I'm afriad.  Insewerants companies will spend as much trying to wriggle out of a claim as it would cost to pay up.

But most insurance companies do accept the LR fitted immobliser so you tend to have a thatcham approved immobliser fitted

To bypass a early immobliser is very simple .......Very

My next question is what immobiliser would you get?

My insurance requires a Thatchem Cat 2. Whats the best for the money?

Title: key fob

:) Hi there, is it a key or is it a single button key fob  :?:   If it's a fob, send it to www.remotekey.co.uk  They did a fantastic job on rebuilding my many pieces of remote fob which I dropped and smashed it.  Hope this helps.
