Title: series in porthmadog

i havent been on here much because i have been in Wales for a week, went to porthmadog on wednesday and seen a couple of series in the main high street that i had to take a piccy of, fist one i saw was a series 1 then 2 cars up from that a series 3, also wondered if they belonged to anyone on here :D

the series, cant remember the number plate, all i can remember is it was parked across the road from the spar shop if that helps :D

without seeing the reg, it's hard to tell if it's a 2a or a 3. I think a 2a, as the bottom door hinge looks more like a blurred 2a hinge than a 3 blurred hinge...

I never seem to have a camera when I spot nice landies, must get a better camera phone!

true the hinge does look like a series 2a hinge

sorry ment series 1 and a series 3, fast typing, i was on ebay at the time looking for parts for mine (series 2a) from what i can remember it was a series 3.

has the three grill, no garantee of course, but if i had a 2/2a i'd want a two grill

I've got a 2a, it has a 3 grill (which is not on, but in the garage), and I want a 2a grill. The problem is, this has happened to a lot of 2as over the years as bits get replaced, and previous owners have tried to make it look newer, and so they are in short supply.

I'm going to stick with 2a on the hinges, look to stick out rather than be flat and wide. Hard to tell from the photo really.

the series 1 & 2 grills are fairly easy to make yourself mind.

It is a series 3, give away is that it is on a S plate if you look closly enough.

Spent the last week saying just up from Porthmadog and didn't see the series one, shame.

we sort of travelled all around north wales and i managed to spot quite a few (most parked up in farm yards)

Of course you could spend 2 weeks enhancing the image to see the S  :lol:
